Dear Friends:
I am delighted to announce that plans for our UK pilgrimage are now final and reservations open! The dates are May 21 – June 2, 2025.
As with our time in the Holy Land in 2022, this pilgrimage is being organised and operated by Lightline Pilgrimages, an organisation led by Anglicans, whose US operations are being managed by a recently retired bishop. We are in the best possible hands, and each pilgrimage is carefully curated with audience in mind. Lightline plans every aspect of the trip, including flights; to extend your time in England, or to upgrade flights, please email them directly.
You’ve heard me say ad infinitum that a pilgrimage is not a coach tour, retreat, or vacation – it is something altogether different. A pilgrimage is a chance for spiritual renewal, new and deepened relationships, fun and exploration. Above all, a pilgrimage is a journey into something new, different, and unknown – one we must take with open hearts and minds. Pilgrimages have the capacity to transform.
Pilgrimages to England take us to the roots of our identity as Anglicans, and to the roots of our own story. We visit holy places that have been sites of pilgrimage for Christians for hundreds of years, in search of the same blessings that changed their lives. I’m especially excited to participate in next year’s National Walsingham Pilgrimage: a chance for enormous celebration with Anglo Catholics from across the Communion. Gathering together matters enormously; these moments of celebration grant, I believe, new energy and vision. To watch something of this year’s National Pilgrimage please click here. You will also see that we intend to visit the parish of Thaxted, sometime home of the famous Fr Conrad Noel, who we have heard much about from Dr Orens over the years.
I will lead the pilgrimage, and will offer Mass and recite the Offices regularly and throughout. All booking is done directly with Lightline. To access the itinerary and to make reservations please click here:

You will see this is being organised for St Paul’s K St & Friends: please feel free to invite others, and we always welcome members of other parishes – pilgrim groups are at their best with a good mix of familiar and unfamiliar faces.
Limited funds are available to provide modest bursaries for parishioners for whom the cost may be prohibitive – please apply directly to me. As the pilgrimage draws nearer we will offer forums of interest to the whole parish that will also serve as preparation.
– Fr Richard
