In January 1981, one St. Paul’s parishioner went out and distributed beef soup and bologna sandwiches to homeless people sleeping on grates. 40 years later, through twice weekly food distributions and a brief winter homeless shelter, volunteers still work to provide fresh meals to those who don’t have them. With their work, volunteers not only distribute needed sustenance but also provide simple human interaction and respect.
