St. Paul’s is proud to be one of twelve parishes in our diocese who successfully applied for invitation into the inaugural class of a new three year diocesan initiative, Tending Our Soil. This program seeks to revitalize churches in the Diocese of Washington and equip them to grow in faithfulness to God and love and solidarity with their neighbors.
St. Paul’s will be discerning a small team of parishioners who will lead and implement this program. But the program intentionally embraces the entire congregation, and emphasizes communication and engagement throughout. For St. Paul’s to succeed, we need everyone in our congregation, whether they are on the team or not, to be ready and eager to participate.
THIS SATURDAY, September 18th, St. Paul’s Tending Our Soil team will have their inaugural meeting with other parishes throughout the Diocese at St. Matthew’s/San Mateo Hyattsville. There will be a Holy Eucharist starting at 9am, with Bishop Budde presiding and The Rev. Canon Stephanie Spellers preaching. Click here to participate in the Eucharist virtually on the Diocesan Facebook page.
