Auditioning
General auditions for St. Paul’s choirs take place in August, though we occasionally have openings throughout the year. We are always eager to audition new volunteer singers. You do not need to be a member of the parish to belong to the choirs, and those of any faith are welcome. In all our singers we look for: An excellent singing voice, a strong ear and ability to sight-read, extensive choral experience, and a desire to make music at a professional level. The willingness to commit to the particulars of singing in an especially active program.
- Members of the Parish Choir must be willing to commit to an extensive rehearsal and service schedule, including on Christmas, Easter, and other important dates in the Church Year. This ensemble sings a considerable amount of music each week, and its members are expected to spend adequate time outside of rehearsal in score study.
- Members of the Evensong Choir must be capable of learning music entirely on their own in preparation for an extremely limited rehearsal before each service.
Please contact Director of Music
Michael Fili for more information or to schedule an audition.
